# Helena Starowieyska

> Helena Starowieyska is a lighting designer based in Kraków, Poland, working on interior and exterior lighting projects in Poland and abroad. She holds an MSc in Light and Lighting from UCL Bartlett and studied Fine Art at Central Saint Martins in London.

Helena Starowieyska (Polish: projektantka oświetlenia) designs light that changes the way people perceive and use space, combining a creative approach with technical knowledge. She treats light as an integral part of architecture: it shapes atmosphere and perception, and affects comfort, well-being and how a space is used. Each project is designed individually, balancing aesthetics, functionality, quality of light and buildability.
